Apophyllite is a high-vibrational, visually stunning mineral, but it is much more delicate than standard Quartz crystals. Because it scores 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs Hardness Scale and naturally contains a high water content within its crystal lattice, it requires gentle handling.

Avoid Water Exposure

• Keep dry: Do not submerge, soak, or rinse your Apophyllite cluster in water. It is a water-sensitive silicate mineral that can flake, crumble, or lose its beautiful pearly lustre if it gets wet or becomes waterlogged.

• Never Use Salt Water: Salt is highly abrasive and will eat away at the delicate crystal pyramid tips and the natural stone matrix.

Avoid Dense Heat & Direct Sun

• Prevent Fading & Cracking: Do not place this specimen in direct, intense sunlight (like sunny windowsills) or near heat sources.

Dusting & Physical Cleaning

• Use a Makeup Brush: You can use a clean, dry, ultra-soft cosmetics brush to gently sweep away loose dust without scratching the crystal faces.

• No Chemicals: Avoid all jewellery cleaners, steam cleaners, or harsh chemical detergents.

Spiritual Cleansing & Charging

Because you cannot use a traditional water bath, use these safe energetic methods instead:

• Moonlight Charging: Place your cluster on a windowsill or porch overnight under the light of a Full Moon.

• Smoke Smudging: With intention, pass the raw cluster through the smoke of burning Palo Santo, Sage or your favourite incense.

• Sound Clearings: Use a singing bowl, tingsha chimes, or bells near the crystal to clear stagnant frequencies.
